10月23日 Natural Semantic metalanguage TheoryNatural Semantic metalanguage Theory评价：这种元语言理论是基于跨语言的假说。用在语言教学和词语释义上比较好。但不得不说，这还是一种面向人的语义研究。我们很难用这样简单的模式来解释复杂的词语。其实元语言不一定只是这些实体、动作、关系的指称。词语的所指可能是有更加复杂的关系。因为词语总是把复杂的东西约定简化。词语的意义在神经符号系统的运算的支撑之下。用其他词语来解释某一个词时，实在让我们的神经发愁。 10月18日 meanings in our brainwords’ sounds and stuctures take the cotent of the meanings in our brain. When we think , we apply the sounds and strucs to compute. Eg. We say what’s this, what’s that, how’s that, that’s the “what’s sth ” do its job. It is not what we want to think or to reason, but the word/ sturcture itself happen to be togather. 10月12日 Ph.D thesis proposalI haven't noticed that it's time I wrote my Ph.D thesis proposal. I want to do sth on semantics, esp. with the collocation approach. But the things are not easy. I have to think everything clearly, which has not been well studied by scholars. Only 7 days left.
